You’ve done it, you’ve got your family portrait session booked in! WOOHOO, go you!
It can be a daunting venture… but never fear! I’ve got some ripper tips that will get you sorted & prepared for a stress-free session.
If you’ve got small kids, then you’re usually well prepared regardless… but just in case bring along these things for smooth sailing!
Spare change of clothes, when you’re at the beach or park - it’s super easy for them to get drenched or quite grubby (I mean it is in kids job descriptions to get as messy as possible!)
Some snacks for once the session is done, kids can work up an appetite hooning about. Food is always a great way for them to stop and take a breath afterwards
Water bottles for everyone, it’s thirsty work being photographed!
Lip balm for Mum (never goes astray in my opinion)
Spare bobby pins if you’ve got wayward hair flying about giving you the irritables!
Sunscreen if the sun is still high, sunburn is never cool in my book.
Depending on the time of your session you might consider bringing the kids PJ’s to change them into if it’s going to be getting them close to bed time.
That’s it! Just a quick list because we’re not packing for a week away, just the essentials so you don’t have whiny filthy kids, Ha!
